Anderson Roofing is proud to be an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor. Owens Corning invites certain roofing contractors to join the program if they meet the requirements for high-quality roofing services.
Why Does it Matter that Anderson Roofing is an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor?
Owens Corning is a leading manufacturer of roofing materials. The roofing materials produced by Owens Corning are of superior quality and ensure a long-lasting and reliable roof. However, Owens Corning understands that even the best materials are useless if installed incorrectly. To protect their reputation and the high standards they’ve set for their products, Owens Corning started a program to train, test, and monitor roofing contractors to ensure that any roofing contractor using their materials meets their high standards. When a roofing contractor can use Owens Corning materials, they can offer the best possible option for your new roof and the exceptional warranty that comes with using these materials. Being part of this program also ensures that we stay current with industry standards and innovations to offer you the most advanced roofing solutions.
What are the Requirements to Become a Preferred Contractor?
There are several requirements roofing contractors must meet to become a preferred contractor. Roofing contractors must be invited to the program. Owens Corning must ensure the business is established, respected, and secure. This process includes:
- Hold a minimum general liability insurance policy of $1,000,000
- Be licensed and insured according to state, city, and county requirements
- Pass a credit check
- Pass an installation workmanship inspection
- Be an existing Owens Corning Contractor Network member
In addition to this, a preferred contractor must show good standing with the Better Business Bureau, pass background screenings, and be an established business. These contractors are held to a higher standard and must prove their worth.
Once a roofing contractor has met these minimum requirements, they must adhere to the standards set by Owens Corning. This includes training, testing, and evaluation, including inspections of in-progress projects. As a preferred contractor, evaluations can happen anytime, meaning the roofing contractor will always need to deliver the highest quality.
